Firearm Transfers

I am happy to handle your firearm transfers for you. I charge $25 to receive the firearm, perform the NICS background check and related paperwork.

…giving me your name, and the Make and Model of the firearm. When the gun arrives I will notify you by e-mail, you call for an appointment and come over, we do the background check, and you take it home with a smile on your face thinking about your first range session with it. 🙂
We also do “outbound” transfers (shipping a gun that you have sold). The charge for this (handguns $55.00; $75.00 large pistols with arm brace and $95 for long guns > full-size rifles and shotguns) includes the transfer fee, packing/boxing up, and shipping costs.

Firearm Sales

I stock and sell new and used guns. The guns we have for sale are displayed. See the “New Guns”, “Used Guns”, and “$99 or Less Guns” pages. I will buy your old gun, regardless of condition. I can also order any new gun for your. I am a Factory Dealer for Charter Arms, Cimarron Firearm, Kahr Arms (Auto-Ordanance) and others. I can quickly get you any new gun from our Distributors (if in stock) and I will quote a price and delivery time. Order, place a deposit, and you’ll have your gun in a few days.

Gunsmithing Services

Unfortunately, due to advancing age and accompanying arthritis in my hands, I have had to discontinue most gunsmithing services. American Guncrafters began 15 years ago based on gunsmithing and it is very disappointing to have to cease this part of my business. You are welcome to call and ask if I can still do your particular task, or not. If I cannot, I can refer you to someone that I believe can do it for you.

Concealed Carry License training for just $89

We have ceased offering classroom instruction for obtaining an Ohio Concealed handgun License (CHL) but we are pleased to announce a new associate,  CCWOHIO.com, to help get you licensed!
Per Ohio law you can now do the classroom portion of the training (6.0 hrs.) ONLINE! Then, to qualify you must complete 2.0 hrs. of live fire on the range. Our new associate, CCWOHIO.com, provides the online portion and we provide the live fire range portion. The online part can be completed in several sessions, on a computer or iPhone, at your convenience in the comfort of your home or even on lunch breaks at your office! Once you have successfully completed this part, you contact us to schedule your 2 hour range session. This can be done any day or times during daylight hours. The American Guncrafters range is outdoor but we have a heated/cooled range house for shooting indoors at outdoor targets if weather conditions are adverse. It is conveniently located in Licking County in the Newark Heath area. The cost is a low $49 for the online classroom portion and just $40 for the range portion! That’s a total cost of training for just $89! If you need to rent a gun with ammunition we will provide that for a nominal $10. We also offer discounts to students who wish to purchase a gun from us after the class.
